Saxophone tuition, all ages welcome, all styles taught.
I am a vastly experienced Saxophonist and teacher, having performed across Europe to audiences large and small and taught at Grammar schools, FE & HE Colleges in one to one and class ( including band ensemble) teaching.
I offer introductory lessons for those without an instrument but are interested to learn more about the Saxophone.
ABRSM Jazz grades are speciality, I also teach "classical" grades.
Currently (winter 2011) students have returned great grade exam results, many passing with Distinction.
References are available on request,I am CRB enhanced cleared.
I further run live music workshops which I encourage my students to participate in, here we take rehearsed & practiced study pieces and perform them with a live band.
I offer a complete music service taking the student from beginner to live performer and support my lessons with vast resources in the form of study books, repertoire books, backing tracks, example playing and where and when ready I can record students playing during lessons in my studio from which we can learn much about sound, phrasing, articulation, dynamics, all the elements of Saxophone performance.
All in all I aim to deliver exceptional Saxophone tuition, support, encouragement and inspiration.
I keep lessons serious but fun, playing the Saxophone is just that - seriously fun!
